Christina Kennedy

Christina Kennedy is a conductor, teacher, and violinist whose career has spanned community stages, private music studios, church sanctuaries, elementary classrooms, middle and high school choir rooms, and college recital halls. She holds graduate degrees in choral conducting and violin performance and has directed school, church, community, and auditioned choirs while maintaining an active independent studio teaching piano, violin, and voice.

In Massachusetts, Christina directs the New Horizons Chorus at Groton Hill Music Center, where she helps adult singers discover the joy of lifelong music-making. She is also the founder and artistic director of the Artemis Circle Choral Project, an auditioned adult treble choir whose performances benefit local nonprofit organizations, and she serves as assistant music director of the Sounds of Stow Chorus & Orchestra and at North Parish in North Andover, Massachusetts. She also performs regularly as a violinist for the New England Tenors, who perform both holiday and varied programs throughout the North Shore region.

Inspired by her work with singers of all ages, Christina has developed a particular interest in vocal health, and, as a Certified McClosky Voice Technician, she enjoys helping singers develop their natural voices, characterized by freedom, ease, and expression. As a conductor and teacher, Christina believes her role is to help each ensemble member or student grow in skill, in confidence, and in lifelong appreciation of the richness that music brings to our lives. Music is far more than producing sound from notes on a page—it is a way to connect with history, strengthen communities, and build relationships across generations and cultures.
