Peter Pesco
Peter Pesco performed many leading tenor operatic roles in the U.S.A., Germany, Japan, and South Korea. He was for four seasons a member of the Wagner Bayreuth Festival Choir, he was a Tanglewood Fellow, and he performed several operatic roles with Chautauqua Opera, as well as recitals. Oratorios and Masses included works by Verdi, Handel, Mozart, Haydn, Janacek, Rossini and many more. Peter was for ten years the tenor with the Long Island Vocal Ensemble and the Island Chamber Ensemble, and he was active as soloist, opera director, public school music teacher, and vocal instructor in a community music school. He also taught voice and graduate vocal pedogogy at Five Towns University.
Currently retired in Bellevue, WA, Peter sings in the Kirkland Choral Society and does some teaching. In 2015 he performed Schubert’s “Die Winterreise” for his 83rd birthday.
