Maryte Bizinkauskas
Maryte Bizinkauskas began her operatic vocal training at the Boston Conservatory of Music where she graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Opera Performance under the guidance of John Moriarty and Iride Pilla. She acquired her Master of Music in Opera Performance under the tutelage of Boris Goldovsky at the esteemed Curtis Institute of Music and is a National Winner of the Metropolitan Opera Auditions. She performed in concert at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City with conductor Thomas Fulton and went on to apprentice at the Santa Fe Opera. She has performed leading roles in Lithuania at the Vilnius Opera underJonas Aleksa and Kaunas Music Theater with Vytautas Virzonis and Julius Geniusas and performed lead roles in Germany and Canada.
Some of the operatic roles Ms. Bizinkauskas has performed include Violetta , La Traviata with Lowell Opera, Musetta, La Boheme and Cio-Cio San, Madama Butterfly with Vilnius Opera, Hana Glawri, Merry Widow and Cio-cio San with Kaunas Music Theater and Hana Glawari with the Burlington Light Opera Company in Ontario . Some unusual operas include Daikna in Salienki with New York Latvian Opera performed in Munster and Elizabeth I in Dux Magnus with the New Opera Company of Chicago . Other roles include Rosalinda, Die Fledermaus, M.Marie inDialogues of the Carmelites, Mdm. De Haltiere, Cendrillon and Lady Billows, Albert Herring along with various other roles.
Concert engagements include Soprano Soloist Verdi Requiem with the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra, Ontario Canada under Dwight Bennett and the Los Angeles Lithuanian Choral Society with Victor Ralys.
She has been a guest artist with the Kaunas Philharmonic Orchestra with conductor Darius Dalingevicius, South Jersey Symphony with Samuel Muni, Brockton Symphony Orchestra with Ronald Knudsen andJonathan Cohler and Boston Bel Canto Opera with Bradley Pennington. She has collaborated a number of times with Danute Mileika and Edvinas Minkstimas and has closely worked with Julius Gaidelis andJeronimas Kacinskas andDarius Lapinskas and has been a guest singer with the Bosotono Vyru Sekstetas.
Ms. Bizinkauskas is a colleague in the Music Department at Bridgewater State College, where she teaches Voice Class I and Voice Class II as well as Performances Studies Voice. She is a member of the recently formed BSC Music Scholarship Committee.
Ms. Bizinkauskas also maintains a private voice studio.
