Joanne McDade
Joanne McDade is a lyric soprano, as well as a pianist and choral conductor. As a performer, she enjoys singing opera and oratorio, and she is an avid recitalist, frequently performing works by contemporary American composers. She earned the Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Oregon, where she taught vocal pedagogy and held a Graduate Teaching Fellowship in Studio Voice and Women’s Chorus. She previously earned the Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Piano Performance from California State University, Sacramento. She has taught at Sierra College, Sacramento City College, Umpqua Community College, St. Francis Academy, and Hendrix College. She currently resides in Lake Barrington, Illinois with her husband, Rollin Potter, and their Himalayan cat, Winston.
