Bruce McClurg

 

Bruce McClurg is on the voice faculty of Chapman University’s Conservatory of Music (mcclurg@chapman.edu) where he teaches undergraduate students in vocal performance, music education and music theater. He is also on the faculty of Crafton Hills College (bmcclurg@crafton.edu) where he was awarded the “Outstanding Adjunct Professor’s Award for 2006. The New York Singing Teachers’ Association awarded him the title of Distinguished Voice Professional for his completion of the Oren L. Brown Development Program and in 2020 he completed the certification in vocology with Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.

As the choir director at the First Congregational Church of Redlands, he conducts the adult Sanctuary choir and the adult handbell choir.  He is an active soloist having appeared with the Redlands Symphony, the Pass Chorale, the Riverside Master Chorale, the Community Chorus of Redlands, at the Redlands Bowl, the Corona del Mar Bach festival and opera productions in Southern California. He is also a past president of NATSLA where he served in that capacity from 2015-2019.

He maintains a private voice studio in Redlands, California.
